Kurt Byers is the Head of Partnerships and Media Relations at New Western, where he leads the company’s broad and rapidly expanding partnerships ecosystem. His oversight includes referral partners, investor resources and marketplace partnerships, government relations and advocacy, events, sponsorships, industry relations, and affordable housing initiatives. With a focus on strategic growth and cross-functional collaboration, Kurt plays a critical role in strengthening New Western’s influence across the real estate investment and housing revitalization landscape.
Since joining New Western, Kurt has built and scaled a best-in-class partnership network, increasing partnership-driven revenue by more than 300%. He also launched and developed the company’s agent and wholesaler referral programs—from initial concept to full rollout across 35 offices—creating new channels that expand both reach and revenue.
Before New Western, Kurt held a diverse set of high-impact roles across consumer brands, media, and fast-growth startups. He was the third employee at a startup that has since expanded into more than 18,000 retail locations. He earned President’s Club and top-performer honors at NBC Sports, Anheuser-Busch, and MilliporeSigma/Merck, and served as a strategic consultant to two successful technology startups, advising on business development and go-to-market strategy.
Kurt is energized by the opportunity ahead for New Western to define and lead the future of the housing revitalization industry. He is passionate about continuously innovating new ways to expand strategic relationships, strengthen key initiatives, and accelerate the company’s growth trajectory.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three young kids. His hobbies include golf, fantasy football, Wordle, and weekly date nights. Kurt is also a nationally ranked Highland Games competitor, proudly taking the field in his signature purple kilt—a tribute to his alma mater, Texas Christian University, where he graduated.
