Nick Stevens is the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Compliance and Legislation at New Western, where he oversees the company’s legislative monitoring, regulatory analysis, and compliance strategy. In this role, Nick tracks proposed and emerging laws that could impact the business and develops clear, actionable recommendations to ensure New Western remains compliant in an evolving legal environment. His guidance helps safeguard the organization while enabling the business to adapt quickly and confidently to new regulatory landscapes.
Before joining New Western, Nick served as an associate attorney at Black, Mann & Graham LLP and as in-house counsel for Wells Fargo’s Home Lending division. These experiences provided him with a strong foundation in real estate law, financial services, and compliance frameworks—expertise he now applies to strengthening New Western’s operational resilience and legal posture.
Nick is especially energized by New Western’s willingness to embrace emerging technologies and the opportunity to help shape innovation in real estate. He is passionate about positioning the company at the forefront of legislative change and ensuring compliance strategies support long-term growth.
A proud graduate of the Texas Tech University School of Law, Nick is a licensed attorney in both Texas and Oklahoma. Outside of work, he has trained in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for nearly 20 years and enjoys snowboarding on as many mountain ranges around the world as he can.
